Overall Competition
The Croeso competition is an age-class competition, with competitors divided into classes based on their age and gender. The Overall competition is based on scoring over the 6 days of competition, with the best 4 results counting. You may enter any number of days and you may enter different classes on different days but you need to run 4 days in the same age-class to count in the overall competition.
Age-based Courses
There are a variety of age-based courses available, catering to all ages and abilities. Competitors are divided into age classes according to their age on the 31st December of the year of competition.
Competitive Classes and Eligibility
- Juniors and seniors are eligible to compete in their respective age classes. Additionally, juniors can run up in older classes up to and including 21, and seniors can also run up to and including 21.
- Women are eligible to run in the Men's M classes, but Men are not eligible to run in the Women's classes.
Understanding Age Classes for Croeso
The age class you compete in is determined by your age on the 31st December of the year of competition. For example, if you turn 20 on July 1, 2023, you will be considered a junior until December 31, 2023. On January 1, 2024, you will be considered a senior.
Colour Coded Courses
There are also a limited range of colour-coded courses, where competitors are ranked against each other regardless of age or gender. These courses have free (or punching) starts, and there is entry on the day.
